MomsWork Podcast Delivers Unfiltered Insights on Parenthood
Kristin Weinrich, a fourth-grade teacher and mother of two from Malvern, has launched the MomsWork podcast to explore the authentic challenges of balancing career and parenthood. Inspired by her own experiences and motivated by her husband, Weinrich aims to provide support and inspiration to parents across the nation.
In her podcast, Weinrich dives into the “real, unfiltered side of balancing parenthood and career.” The show features conversations with a diverse range of parents, creatives, and experts who share relatable stories and practical advice. “These discussions resonate universally, reflecting the common challenges and successes faced by parents, regardless of their backgrounds,” she explained.
Regular listener Susan Chronister from Chester County appreciates the podcast’s ability to normalize her experiences as a working mother. “Kristin’s stories and interviews help me celebrate the highs and lows of motherhood,” she noted. Chronister enjoys the variety of topics covered, from work-life balance to cooking and women’s health, stating, “There is truly something for everyone.”
Initially focused on interviews with working mothers, Weinrich has expanded her podcast to include fathers, emphasizing the importance of diverse perspectives in discussions about family life. “The inclusion of dads provides a great twist that helps me better understand my partner’s perspective,” Chronister added. The episodes have become a highlight of her morning commute.
Upcoming guests include notable figures such as Ruth McKeaney of Hungry for Home and Rachel Farnsworth, known as The Stay At Home Chef. On March 3, 2024, Weinrich will air her 18th episode featuring child psychologist Dr. Fiona MacPhee. “Every guest brings a unique perspective and interesting story,” she said. “We could keep talking for hours once we start discussing parenting.”
Weinrich emphasizes the shared nature of parenting challenges and finds comfort in recognizing that no one has it all figured out. “We’re all doing the best we can,” she noted, highlighting the importance of community support and connection among parents.
Listeners can expect practical takeaways from each episode, whether it be a new idea or a different approach to everyday challenges. “I hope they laugh a little, or a lot, but most of all, I hope they feel connected — to me, to my guest, and to the broader community of parents,” Weinrich stated.
The MomsWork podcast is available on Apple Podcasts. For further engagement, listeners can follow the show on social media platforms like Instagram and Facebook at @momsworkpodcast.
