Hamilton High School Celebrates November’s Positive Office Referrals
Hamilton High School (HHS) has recognized its November recipients of the Positive Office Referral program, celebrating students who have demonstrated exemplary behavior. This initiative allows teachers and staff to reward students who exhibit positive actions, reinforcing a supportive school environment.
According to HHS Principal Brad Gooding, each time a teacher submits a Positive Office Referral, the student is rewarded with a soda, Gatorade, or a snack. Additionally, first-time recipients receive a “Takin’ Care of Business” (TCB) T-shirt, which serves as a tangible recognition of their achievements.
The theme for this year’s recognition is inspired by the iconic album “Like a Rock” from Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band. Students are encouraged to embrace this theme by autographing a copy of the 1986 album when they receive a Positive Office Referral. To further commemorate their achievements, a congratulatory sticker is placed on their locker name tags, symbolizing their status as being “Like a Rock.”
Celebrating Positive Behavior
The initiative aims to foster a culture of positivity within the school community. Principal Gooding highlighted the importance of acknowledging and celebrating good behavior among students. “It encourages a positive atmosphere where students feel valued and recognized for their efforts,” he stated.
In November, recipients of the Positive Office Referral included several standout students, contributing to a vibrant school culture. While not every recipient was photographed, notable mentions include Sylas Ferrell and Ashton White, who were recognized for their contributions.
HHS continues to prioritize the well-being and development of its students through various programs like the Positive Office Referral initiative. By promoting positive behaviors, the school not only rewards individual achievements but also strengthens the overall community spirit.
The Positive Office Referral program at HHS represents a significant step in cultivating a supportive educational environment, encouraging students to strive for excellence in their daily actions. This celebration of positivity is a reflection of the school’s commitment to nurturing a thriving academic atmosphere.
