Breeze Airways Flies Family to Pittsburgh Without Issues Amid Bad Reviews
UPDATE: Breeze Airways has successfully transported a family of five from Portland, Maine, to Pittsburgh, defying negative online reviews. The family’s experience, reported just days ago during the busy holiday season, highlights the airline’s reliability amid skepticism.
Traveling during peak periods often raises concerns about delays and hidden fees, particularly with low-cost carriers. Despite initial worries, the family’s trip, costing $1,790 for five tickets plus two carry-ons, was smooth and efficient. With the only direct flights available through Breeze Airways, the decision to fly with them was made out of necessity.
The family booked their tickets in July, opting for the cheapest seats, which came with restrictions: no checked luggage and only one personal item per person. Each carry-on incurred an additional $70 fee, leading them to pack light—a smart choice considering they were staying with family who could do laundry.
On arrival at the airport, the family faced a moment of panic when Breeze Airways was not listed on departure screens. However, an airport employee quickly guided them to their gate, where they found their flight on time. Boarding was organized, and families were invited to board first, allowing the kids to expend energy before the flight.
Once on board, the family was pleasantly surprised by the newness of the aircraft, featuring smooth leather seats and a well-maintained cabin. Although there were no in-flight entertainment screens, the parents had prepared sticker books and toys to keep the children entertained during the 1 hour and 20 minutes flight.
Despite the absence of snacks due to turbulence, the family had packed their own food, making the travel experience comfortable. To their delight, both flights landed ahead of schedule, a rarity in today’s travel landscape.
Having previously traveled with budget airlines like Frontier and Spirit, the family found Breeze Airways’ service to be significantly better than their past experiences. Their positive experience has prompted them to consider Breeze Airways for future family trips, particularly with the holiday season approaching.
With limited routes from Portland to various U.S. cities, Breeze Airways may become a go-to option for families seeking affordable travel. The airline’s performance during this holiday trip could change the perception of low-cost carriers as they continue to expand their services.
As the family reflects on their journey, they emphasize the importance of being prepared and the impact of a smooth travel experience, especially when traveling with children. This recent flight serves as a reminder that not all low-cost airlines are created equal, and Breeze Airways may have found a niche in the competitive travel market.
Stay tuned for more updates as Breeze Airways continues to operate through the busy holiday season. This developing story highlights the importance of reliable travel options for families across the nation.
