BREAKING: Director Molly Ratermann has just announced the completion of post-production for her highly anticipated comedy-horror film, “Making a Bridesmaid.” This exciting project is set to debut at film festivals in 2026 and promises to redefine the genre with its unique blend of humor and horror.

Filmed on location in Lake Tahoe, California, “Making a Bridesmaid” is a satirical take on the pressures women face in a competitive society. Described as a cross between “Bodies Bodies Bodies” and “Bridesmaids,” the film features a thrilling storyline where two outcast sisters, played by Emily Kincaid and Ratermann herself, navigate a “basic bitch” bachelorette weekend that spirals into chaos when they find themselves trapped in a deadly murder game.

The ensemble cast boasts talents such as Serra Naiman, Wilder Yari from “The Lincoln Lawyer”, Alex Sgambati from “The Walking Dead”, and April Kelley from “Plainclothes.” The film is produced by 741 Films and Little Hand Productions, with Sabrina Plisco, President of American Cinema Editors, taking on her debut role as producer and editor.

Ratermann expressed her excitement, stating,

“‘Making A Bridesmaid’ is a wild, fun ride that digs into fakeness, identity, and rivalry, even as women keep reaching for solidarity.”

The film aims to spark conversations about female socialization while providing a comedic lens that resonates with women and piques the curiosity of men.

As “Making a Bridesmaid” reaches picture-lock status, plans for its premiere and sales representation are forthcoming. Fans of the genre are eagerly waiting for the chance to see how this innovative film will challenge stereotypes and entertain audiences worldwide.

Stay tuned for more updates as this thrilling project moves closer to its festival debut!
