Protester at “No Kings” Rally Urges Trump’s Death in Shocking Remarks
UPDATE: A protester at the global “No Kings” rally on October 18, 2025, expressed an alarming wish for President Donald Trump to be dead, stating it would be the best birthday present. This shocking comment made headlines as anti-Trump demonstrators gathered worldwide to denounce what they call “authoritarianism” and challenge Trump’s policies.
During the protest in Portland, Maine, the unidentified woman told reporter Jon Fetherston, “I hope that I see the obituary that we’re all waiting for tomorrow.” When pressed about her statement, she confirmed, “Yes, absolutely.” A video of the interaction has since gone viral, igniting fierce conversations about political discourse in the U.S.
Fetherston later reflected on the encounter on social media, labeling her remarks as “unacceptable” and “chilling.” He stated, “There was a time in this country when talk like that had real consequences. Now it’s cheered on. Chilling. Unacceptable. Time to bring accountability back.”
The “No Kings” movement, established in June 2025, claims to promote “national resistance to tyranny” and defend democracy against Trump’s administration. Protesters across the U.S. made headlines for various threatening remarks, including one in Seattle, Washington, who stated he wanted to kill White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller.
In a separate incident in Chicago, Illinois, a protester made a disturbing gesture at counter-protesters, revealing the tensions surrounding political activism in the country today. The “No Kings” organization has accused Trump of increasing tyranny by “targeting immigrant families,” “detaining people without warrants,” and “threatening to overtake elections.”
As the protests unfold, the heightened rhetoric is raising concerns among officials and citizens alike, leaving many to wonder what consequences these escalating sentiments may bring. The situation is developing rapidly, and further reports are anticipated as the political climate continues to evolve.
Stay tuned for updates as this story progresses, and share your thoughts on the implications of such extreme rhetoric in today’s political landscape.
