Salt Lake City “Pumpkin House” Goes Viral with Over 248 Pumpkins
UPDATE: A home in Salt Lake City has captured the attention of thousands as its annual Halloween display of over 248 pumpkins has gone viral on social media. The extravagant decoration, located near 800 E and 300 S, has quickly become a beloved tradition for the Archibald family and the surrounding community.
For the past three years, residents have flocked to see the stunning pumpkin display, which features both carved and uncarved pumpkins, with approximately 100 hand-carved masterpieces this year. “It’s a symbol of my family’s tradition of just creating fun neighborhood memories for kids,” said Jessica Archibald in an interview with ABC4 News earlier today.
The Archibalds’ pumpkin house embodies the spirit of Halloween, a holiday celebrated with fervor in Jessica’s family. “My family’s always been Halloween people,” she shared. The idea originated from her brother, who started a similar pumpkin display at their childhood home. After moving away, he passed the tradition to Jessica, who now showcases it at their beautifully restored historic home.
The impact of this display stretches beyond just aesthetics, as families and children across Utah visit to capture memorable photos in front of the vibrant pumpkins. The home has turned into a local landmark, with stunning images featuring the display flooding social media platforms. Jessica Archibald frequently shares these moments on her Instagram page, @jessicaarchibald, where followers can find breathtaking snapshots of the festive decorations.
As Halloween approaches, the Archibald family is set to continue growing their collection of pumpkins, making their home a must-visit destination for those seeking to celebrate the season. The excitement surrounding the pumpkin house is a testament to the community spirit in Salt Lake City and the joy of creating lasting memories during the holiday.
Officials at nearby Utah’s Hogle Zoo are also getting into the Halloween spirit, offering special enrichment activities for their animals, highlighting the festive atmosphere in the area.
Don’t miss the chance to see this stunning pumpkin display before Halloween! The Archibalds’ incredible tradition showcases the magic of the season and the importance of family and community ties. As the countdown to Halloween continues, the pumpkin house remains a symbol of creativity and joy—one that is sure to inspire others in the region.
