Scheduled to kick off on November 27 at 8:30 a.m. in all time zones, this year’s parade promises to be a star-studded spectacle, featuring an eclectic mix of talent that will delight fans across the nation.

Among the performers are Ciara, Foreigner, Busta Rhymes, Kool & the Gang, and Teyana Taylor. Adding to the excitement, the parade will also highlight the pop culture phenomenon, K-Pop Demon Hunters, with captivating performances from the movie’s stars and whimsical character balloons. This marks a pivotal moment for K-pop representation in mainstream festivities, as the fictional girl group from the Netflix hit will have their soundtrack, which recently hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200, featured prominently.

The parade will showcase a staggering 32 balloons, 27 floats, 11 marching bands, and 33 clown groups, all leading the way for the beloved Santa Claus. This year, four new character balloons will make their debut, including Buzz Lightyear, Pac-Man, and Mario from the Super Mario franchise, alongside a 32-foot-tall onion carriage themed from “Shrek.”

Returning to host the broadcast on NBC and Peacock are familiar faces Savannah Guthrie, Hoda Kotb, and Al Roker, ensuring that millions can join in on the festivities from home. Last year, more than 31 million viewers tuned in, marking a remarkable 10% increase in audience size and setting a new record for the parade.

In a nod to its storied history, this year’s parade will also feature beloved balloons from previous years, including the Rainbow Trout and Freida the Dachshund. Six new floats will debut as well, showcasing creativity from brands like Holland America Line, Lego, and Serta, featuring whimsical sheep trying to get to sleep.

Broadway will shine with performances from cast members of “Buena Vista Social Club”, “Just in Time”, and “Ragtime”, alongside special appearances by renowned athletes such as three-time U.S. national champion figure skater Ilia Malinin and U.S. Paralympian Jack Wallace.

With such a vibrant lineup, the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is set to be an unforgettable kickoff to the holiday season. As the excitement builds, more stars and surprises are expected to be revealed in the coming weeks. Stay tuned for updates as this iconic event approaches!
