Trunk or Treat and Avery Fall 5K: Fun Events Happening Today!
UPDATE: Exciting community events are taking place today, October 19, 2023, in Boulder, promising fun and engagement for residents of all ages! Don’t miss out on the annual **Halloween Carnival and Trunk or Treat** at 1 p.m. hosted by the **Trinity Lutheran Church**, located at 2200 Broadway. This family-friendly event invites all to join in the Halloween festivities with games and treats.
In addition, the much-anticipated **Avery Fall 5K** kicks off at 10 a.m. at **Avery Brewing Company** (4910 Nautilus Court North). Participants can run, walk, or jog at this casual event, celebrating community spirit with a refreshing local craft brew at the finish line. Registration fees range from $0 to $64.93.
Also starting at 1 p.m. is an engaging workshop for kids and families at **St. Aidan’s Episcopal Church** (2425 Colorado Ave.), where participants will learn safe food preservation techniques. This hands-on class costs $30-$35 and promises a fun learning experience using freshly rescued fruits.
For book lovers, the **Silent Book Club** invites attendees at 5:30 p.m. to cozy up with a good read at the **George Reynolds Branch** (3595 Table Mesa Drive). Enjoy hot chocolate while sharing the first 10 minutes with fellow readers before diving into the joys of reading.
Looking ahead, the **Boulder Public Library** will host a **String Quartet Storytime** at 10:15 a.m. on Wednesday, offering children the chance to explore string instruments and music storytelling.
