Urgent: Woman Heroically Thwarts Carjacking in WeHo Gas Station
BREAKING: A woman in West Hollywood has become a local hero after bravely confronting a man who jumped into her car while she and her husband were at a gas station. The shocking incident, which unfolded just moments ago, was captured on surveillance video and is now raising alarms about safety at gas stations.
According to security footage from the gas station, Star Carter acted quickly when a stranger unexpectedly hopped into the back seat of their Alfa Romeo as they were refueling. Her husband, Mike Carter, was momentarily trapped in his seatbelt and unable to respond immediately. In a split-second decision, Star forcefully pulled the man from the vehicle, displaying remarkable strength and determination.
“I had to remove him from my vehicle,” Star recounted. “When I got him out of the car, I went into a motherly instinct and told him, ‘Don’t you ever do nothing stupid like this no more.'” Star’s swift actions sent the man tumbling out of the car, as she confronted him directly.
The couple had been on their way to see comedian Deon Cole at the Hollywood Improv when they stopped to gas up. They never anticipated that their night would take such a dangerous turn. Moments before the stranger jumped into their car, Mike had asked him if he was okay, but received no response. Initially, the man seemed to move on, but he was lurking nearby, waiting for the right moment.
As Star explained, “My door lock wouldn’t lock anymore, and he was able to just hop in the backseat of my car.” The couple quickly realized the man appeared to be under the influence, raising serious concerns about safety among drivers.
Star expressed her worries, stating, “I have two daughters that drive, and you just have to be aware… especially for women.” Her husband, Mike, praised her actions, saying, “I know my wife is strong, but wow, she’s strong. The guy was on the ground.”
Star humorously referred to the incident as “Hollywood therapy,” but the couple’s experience serves as a stark reminder of the dangers that can arise in seemingly ordinary situations. Thankfully, neither Star nor Mike was injured during the encounter.
The Carters have decided to share the surveillance video to raise awareness and encourage others to remain vigilant while refueling. As they prepare to continue their evening, they hope their story will resonate with fellow motorists, emphasizing the importance of safety.
Stay tuned for further updates on this developing story as authorities continue to investigate the incident and the man involved.
