Radius Global Infrastructure, Inc. has named Laura Fernandez as the new chief operating and strategy officer, a strategic move aimed at enhancing the company’s execution as demand surges in the global digital infrastructure market. The announcement was made by Scott G. Bruce, Chief Executive Officer of Radius Global, who emphasized Fernandez’s pivotal role in shaping the company’s long-term growth strategy.

Strategic Leadership and Global Operations

Fernandez will report directly to Bruce and will be responsible for overseeing global operations and strategy. Her responsibilities include identifying new business opportunities while aligning enterprise priorities to foster sustainable value creation. She will be based in London and will collaborate closely with executive and senior leadership teams across various regions as Radius Global expands its services for network operators, tower companies, and other digital infrastructure clients.

Bruce highlighted that Fernandez brings a distinctive blend of operational leadership, financial acumen, and extensive sector expertise. Her background within the telecom and digital infrastructure ecosystem positions Radius Global to better address customer needs while navigating a competitive and capital-intensive landscape.

Extensive Experience in the Digital Sector

Fernandez joins Radius Global with an impressive 25 years of international experience across Europe, Latin America, and North America. Most recently, she served as the chief executive officer of Ontix, a UK-based private equity-backed digital infrastructure firm. Before that, she held senior leadership roles at Telefonica, including finance director for operations and transformation, as well as head of strategic planning at O2 in the United Kingdom. Additionally, she was group financial controller and head of investments at Telefonica Europe and has served as a non-executive director at Cornerstone.

Radius Global operates in a thriving sector, where wireless carriers, data providers, and cloud-centric businesses are making significant investments in connectivity and network densification. The company asserts that Fernandez’s appointment underscores its commitment to disciplined execution and a customer-centric strategy as it embarks on its next phase of expansion.

As the demand for digital infrastructure continues to grow, Radius Global aims to leverage Fernandez’s expertise to enhance its service offerings and strengthen its position in the market. This strategic leadership change reflects the company’s proactive approach to meeting the evolving needs of its customers in a rapidly changing technological landscape.
