Charlotte M. Seim, Beloved Community Figure, Passes at 89
BREAKING: Charlotte M. Seim, a cherished member of the Guilderland community, has passed away at the age of 89. Her family announced her death on November 11, 2025, marking a profound loss for those who knew her.
Born on February 26, 1936, Charlotte was the daughter of the late Clyde and Jennie (Travis) Woodard. She dedicated much of her life to her family and her community, famously working for many years at Travelers Insurance Company, where she met her late husband, William R. Seim.
Charlotte was known for her vibrant spirit and love for walking, often seen strolling to local craft fairs or shopping. Her infectious sense of humor made her a beloved figure among residents at the Baptist community, where she frequently visited and participated in various activities.
Charlotte is survived by her children: Donna (Ronald) Healt, William (Debra) Eggleston III, Richard (Cheryl) Eggleston, Michael (Rose) Eggleston, and Guy (Susan Jacobson) Eggleston. She leaves behind eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her first husband William Eggleston Jr., her grandson Ryan Healt, and her siblings.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Baptist Health and Community Hospice, especially Brittany and her team, for their unwavering support and care during Charlotte’s final days.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, located at 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie NY 12205. A Funeral Service will take place on Thursday at 11 a.m., following a return to the funeral home at 10 a.m.. Interment will follow at Prospect Hill Cemetery in Guilderland, NY.
Charlotte M. Seim’s legacy of love and laughter will continue to inspire all who had the privilege to know her.
