Paramount+ Forms Landmark Partnership with Arsenal FC
Paramount+ has officially partnered with English soccer club Arsenal FC in a deal described as “landmark” by both parties. This partnership will merge the worlds of sports and entertainment, allowing Arsenal players, legends, and supporters to engage with some of the platform’s major series. Notable shows include Landman, featuring actors Billy Bob Thornton, Demi Moore, and Sam Elliott, as well as Guy Ritchie’s MobLand, starring Tom Hardy, Helen Mirren, and Pierce Brosnan.
The collaboration will see Paramount+ branding prominently displayed during match days, including on big screens and in matchday programs for both the men’s and women’s teams. Additionally, the club will develop a series of social media campaigns that highlight this partnership.
Engaging Content and Experiences
In a co-branded video released to celebrate the launch of the partnership, Arsenal legend Thierry Henry provides the narration for a piece titled “For the Love of the Team.” Marco Nobili, executive vice president and international general manager of Paramount+, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, “We’re beyond excited to unite Paramount+ and Arsenal — two global iconic brands with supporters that live and breathe passion.”
Nobili emphasized that the partnership aims to create experiences that showcase teamwork and engage fans. He mentioned popular series such as SpongeBob, South Park, and Yellowstone, indicating an effort to merge the excitement of sports with the entertainment value of these shows.
Arsenal’s chief commercial officer, Juliet Slot, echoed this sentiment, stating, “We’re delighted to welcome Paramount+ into our Arsenal family. They’re a world-class, global entertainment brand, and we’re so excited to work together and create new ways for our supporters to feel even closer to the club.” She highlighted that this partnership would enhance the club’s ability to deliver exceptional experiences and support their ambition to compete for major trophies.
Future Campaigns and Content Themes
Looking ahead, the partnership will align with some of the biggest launches on Paramount+ during the 2025-2026 season. The first campaign, aimed at promoting the return of Landman in November, will feature Arsenal first team players engaging in conversations with lifelong supporter and social media influencer Sharky, along with players Eberechi Eze, William Saliba, and Gabi Martinelli.
Subsequent content will continue to highlight the connection between Arsenal and various Paramount+ shows, showcasing both men’s and women’s first team players. This partnership represents a significant step in integrating sports and entertainment, creating a unique avenue for fan engagement and brand promotion.
