Trump Launches New Year’s Eve Attacks on Democrats and Cities

On December 31, Trump took to Truth Social to express his views, labeling Democrats as “cheaters and thieves” who resist implementing measures such as Voter Identification, which he argues are crucial for maintaining electoral integrity.

“The Democrats are a bunch of cheaters and thieves that never want to do what’s good for America,” Trump stated. He emphasized that the Republican Party should no longer tolerate such practices, reflecting his ongoing campaign against perceived electoral fraud.

In a concerning twist, his post followed a message of support for Tina Peters, a former Mesa County clerk in Colorado, who has been convicted for her involvement in unauthorized access to election systems. Peters is currently serving a nine-year sentence for her actions. Trump expressed his solidarity with her, stating, “God Bless Tina Peters, who is now, for two years out of nine, sitting in a Colorado Maximum Security Prison, at the age of 73, and sick, for the ‘crime’ of trying to stop the massive voter fraud that goes on in her State.” He further criticized Colorado’s governor and a local district attorney, expressing hopes for their downfall.

Military Presence in Democratic Cities

In addition to his remarks on electoral integrity, Trump announced the withdrawal of National Guard troops from cities governed by Democrats, including Chicago, Los Angeles, and Portland. “Despite the fact that crime has been greatly reduced by having these great Patriots in those cities, we are removing the National Guard,” Trump wrote.
